PREP: Zest orange; peel and chop orange.
MIX: In a medium pot over medium-high heat, combine the cranberries, orange zest and chopped orange, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup water, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a simmer and cook for 12 minutes, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, until thickened to desired texture.
CUSTOMIZE IT: If you like your cranberry sauce a bit sweeter, stir in an additional 1/4 cup of sugar at the end, until melted.
