Adjust rack to top position and preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Trim and discard woody bottom ends from asparagus.
Toss asparagus on a baking sheet with a drizzle of oil, salt, and pepper. Roast until tender, 10-12 minutes.
Once asparagus is finished roasting, toss with about 1 TBSP garlic herb butter and Parmesan cheese.
