Adjust rack to top position and preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Trim and halve Brussels sprouts lengthwise
Toss on a baking sheet with a drizzle of oil, salt, and pepper. Roast on middle rack until golden and tender, 15-20 minutes.
STOVETOP ALTERNATIVE: Heat a large drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add Brussels sprouts; season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until bright green and softened, 5-7 minutes.
