Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 degrees if using a nonstick baking dish). Coat a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Combine cake mix, 1 cup water, ½ cup vegetable oil, and three eggs in large bowl; whisk for 2 minutes.
Wash hands and surfaces after handling raw eggs. Consuming raw or undercooked eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.
Pour batter into prepared baking dish. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 28-33 minutes. Let cool in dish for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
